RJA #10a: Thesis Statement

Thesis statement:

In today society of mass media, not everything is acceptable to be see or heard. This is why the government and certain organization intervene. Censorship has become a more common practice in today's society. Censorship has developed a love-hate relationship with he government and the people.

RJA #7c: Field Research Plan

I am not sure about what method I am going to used for my field. I suppose it would be easy to interview people about mass media and censorship. Some question I might ask would be:

-Do you feel that the mass media is meeting your informational needs?
-Do you feel that the corporations and governments have too much power over what we see and hear in the media?

RJA #7a: Internet Research Tools

The search engine that i use the most would be Google. It is not the most advanced or accurate, but it gives me an idea of what I am trying to look for. The one thing I like about Google is the ease of use. I feel that it does not take a whole lot knowledge to use. What I do not like about Google is that it can give many web hits that do not have anything to do your search topic. If Google is not working for me, i would turn to the Yahoo search engine. I have an email account with Yahoo so I am familiar with the search engine. What I like about Yahoo is that it gives you narrow they first part of your search topic to general topics first. Search topics like sports, business, and popular culture. The one thing that I don't like about Yahoo is that it is used a lot for advertising.
