I think that you need to make more search strings using +, -, AND, OR. I think this will help you in your research. You can filter out a lot of search results that don't help you or your topic.
I think that by using, + and -, it could help you narrow down your search more. Also by using AND/OR could also help. For exmaple- (+Mass media AND TV AND Internet OR Newspaper).
It might also be helpful to find a specific site or paper that doesn't have as much manipulation or bias. They sometimes have rants about government involvement with media in the beginning of their articles or websites. So you could search for things like independent journalist* and bias.
