Music, Television, Movies you name it, everything has its limitations too who hears and sees what. Censorship has been a part of our society for over a century and is still a very big part of how our society functions today. Censorship, from definition, is "the suppression of speech or deletion of communicative material which may be considered objectionable, harmful, sensitive, or inconvenient to the government or media organizations as determined by a censor." Where does the line begin and where does it end? Who has control over what we can or cannot hear, see, or even say?
We experience censorship in any form every single day. Whether its the news stories that are being sold in the morning and evening times. Or certain music artist who express their feelings for ones they love in inappropriate manors, or expressing their hate for authority. Or if their is a certain video games that is stuffed with extreme violence, offensive language, or sensuality. Censorship is everywhere and you can not escape it. That raises many questions. What should censorship be used and not used for? Who should censorship be use for? Is society becoming too sensitive because of censorship? There are many questions that could be sprung from this hot topic. In today society of mass media, not everything is acceptable to be see or heard. This is why the government and certain organization intervene. Censorship has become a more common practice in today's society. Censorship has developed a love-hate relationship with the government and the people.
